It is day three of 15 degrees mornings and my excuses to not run are familiar and consistent.

  • I’m not feeling it today
  • My feet hurt
  • My hurts
  • I should take today as a recovery day
  • I shouldn’t overdo it
  • It’s too cold
  • Maybe I should do a mid-day run
  • What if I go harder tomorrow instead
  • Maybe there isn’t enough time
  • Maybe this whole running idea is stupid
