With Apple’s new graphs, I was able to see my running stats for the year. It is interesting to compare the last several years. I genuinely feel like this was a far worse year for running than previous. It seems the stats don’t quite agree with that. It is mind-boggling how boggled our minds are at feeling reality.

I do think about how 2024 could have logged more miles, but I had some foot injury I was working through during the months of April, May, and June. No sense in getting sad about what could have been, but rather celebrate the wins and think about getting better for this coming year.
This morning I added two miles to hit the total for 2024. It felt really great to close out the year on two legs that are able to do this and enjoy the outside - even though it was raining. I feel very fortunate and am looking forward to a stronger 2025.
