We had a hawthorn tree that was near the patio and had not been doing well over the past several years. The tree also had a knack for oozing all over our stuff. This summer it had attracted a huge swarm of aphids and was losing its leaves in June. We decided it was time to take the tree out.

This tree unfortunately held all of our bird feeders, which the squirrels loved. I replaced them with several galvanized steel poles to hold up the elaborate array of bird feeders.
