I have had several years of problems with chipmunks burrowing under the concrete. I generally have no problems with chipmunks, but I’ve asked them not to burrow next to the foundation. They did not listen and have been pulling up rock under the concrete which has resulted in some cracking. I had my fill. I pulled away all of the mulch and a layer of soil, laid down about one inch of concrete and then covered with mulch. No more chipmunk burrowing here.
